Printed Gift Wrap Workshop with Malikah Mika’ela
Thursday, December 16, 5-7 PM
TICKETS: $45, in person workshop at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center
Join the JAHC and local Artist Malikah Mika’ela for a quick afternoon of block printing with potatoes where we will be using a few items that you may be able to find around your house to make unique gift wrap. Participants will be walked through creating positive and negative space, patterning, and how to prepare their work space to make it effective for their block printing experiments.
Malikah Mika’ela is a local print maker and entrepreneur who has many years of experience creating art with natural elements. She is an educator, organizer, screen printer, herbalist, and painter by accident.
More information: This is an in-person event with limited capacity (only 20 tickets available!) to allow for safe social distancing. Participants need to wear a mask and bring proof of vaccination to attend. As part of our mitigation plan, this event won’t include drinks or food.
