The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council is finished accepting exhibition proposals for the upcoming Gallery Season running October 2021 through September 2022:
Individual artists, organizations, and groups are eligible to apply. Selected applicants will display their work for approximately one month at the JACC, approximately two months in the Davis Gallery at Centennial Hall, or virtually, with an opening reception on First Friday. The Arts Council Gallery Program supports both established and emerging Alaskan artists showcasing new works, while representing the broadest spectrum of visual art media.
The Arts Council welcomes original artwork created within the last three years in any media, and not previously exhibited in the JAHC Gallery Program (individually or as part of a past group exhibition). Artwork should not violate city, state, or federal laws, or endanger viewers. Preference is given to artists living and working in Southeast Alaska, particularly current JAHC members in good standing.
To apply, submit an online application that includes the following:
- Contact information
- Current artist statement/bio, resume or cv
- Written proposal of the exhibit
- 5 images of your work, sketches, and/or other supporting materials*
The application fee has been waived, but applicants who are selected for the upcoming Gallery Season are encouraged to become members or renew their membership.
The deadline to apply was August 15, 2021 by 11:59 PM, Alaska Standard Time. All applications will be reviewed by the JAHC Board Gallery Committee and decisions will be announced no later than September 15, 2021.
