My paintings remind me of one of my favorite poems: Jabberwocky, by Lewis Carroll. The poem is whimsical and fun nonsense, with a touch of darkness. It follows formal rules of syntax, meter, rhyme and structure, and even more or less narrates a classic hero’s tale. It is nonsense, but coherent nonsense. My art, too, does not mean anything. But I hope it makes sense to you.
