Postering Service

Our poster hanger visits nearly 75 locations each week to get the word out about events. The route is posted on-line as a wikispace and can be updated as needed so that we all have the most accurate list of public bulletin boards in Juneau.

NEW GUIDELINES FOR POSTER ROUTE EFFECTIVE JAN 1 2011

No time to do it yourself?
JAHC offers a community Postering Service for businesses and organizations offering events and activities that meet the JAHC Mission and Goals:

Affiliate Art Members-
For $30 and a ticket to the event*, we will hang your posters for you!
Bring 65 posters (no more than 25 larger than 8 1/2 by 11 in size – there are only 25 boards in town large enough to accommodate those big sizes) to the JACC no later than 10 am Tuesday morning, and they will be hung by Wednesday or Thursday night, depending on how many posters we receive.
If you would like, for an additional $5 the Poster Hanger will pick your posters up from Capital Copy or Copy Express downtown Tuesday morning.

Non Affiliate-
We will hang 40 8 ½ x 11 OR 25 8 ½ x 11 & 15 Legal or Poster sized for $30

Be conservative -Have one car driving 10 posters around rather than 10 cars driving one poster around!
* If your event is a fundraising event we waive the complimentary ticket requirement.

Community Calendar

To add your event to the calendar: Send the who/what/where/when/why info to juneauartscouncil@gmail.com & Tom.

For a full page version of our calender, go to Community Calendar

We do our best to maintain a comprehensive calendar of all events in the community, not just the arts events. Events held in the JACC, promoted on posters we hang, and ticketed through the Box Office automatically get added to our on-line calendar and mentioned in the weekly Arts Up! Update on KTOO. No charge – just part of the services your local arts council provides to the community.

We hold a community-wide calendaring event on Martin Luther King Day each year, and invite everyone to come and post their anticipated events and productions on the coming year’s calendar. Make sure your event does not overlap with other important events in town! Make it possible for your patrons to do it all! Bring your information to the JACC on Martin Luther King Day from 3:30 – 5:30 and let’s share the days.
