It’s time.
Juneau needs a real performing arts center now.
With the success of the Juneau Arts & Culture Center, as demonstrated by the regular, overflowing use of the facility, the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council Board of Trustees announces that they are ready to build. The JACC/PACC plan is here: Keep the JACC as it is, and add theater, gallery, meeting, and office space to accommodate the growing demand for more performance and exhibit space.
Modest in comparison to past estimates for a performing arts center, this proposal takes advantage of the existing facility to keep construction costs at a minimum while maximizing community benefits. This addition effectively links Centennial Hall to the new Statewide Library Archives and Museum building, establishing the cultural campus in downtown Juneau.
