..for Juneau teachers, Support Staff and Administrators
to support the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council

10 Because you like to dance and attend concerts at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center (JACC).

9 Because you want to provide arts education and arts experiences for ALL children and youth–to enhance their educational experience and academic performance. The Kennedy Center Partners in Education (PIE) workshops and School Concerts help with that.

8 Because the JAHC gives disadvantaged and at-risk youth access to the arts through Arts programs at Geneva Woods and Cedar Park.

7 To enhance the quality of life in Juneau and make it an attractive place to live and raise children. The JAHC organizes things like Community Day on Campus, Concerts in the Park, Concerts at Savikko Park, the on-line arts calendar and Weekly Updates for visitors, Welcome Packets for newcomers, Mayor’s Award for the Arts, special travel packages to encourage visitors to come here, and monthly Arts Roundtables which bring all the arts groups together.

6 To provide grants and scholarships for students, individual artists and arts organizations – which build a lively, creative community.

5 Because you meet the most interesting people by being an arts volunteer.

4 Because you’re a teacher, para-educator or administrator and you believe in life-long learning and doing your best. The Poetry Omnibus, Poetry Out Loud, Plays Out Loud and that wild Wearable Arts Extravaganza encourage everyone to keep growing.

3 Because it’s fun to visit with your friends and see what’s going on around town touring the galleries on First Fridays.
