Arts Affiliate Membership

The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council provides many services to the community and encourages arts organizations to join as members. These include:
• Promotional support
o On-line calendaring
o Regular weekly radio promotion through Arts Up
o Weekly Happenings distribution to hotels during the visitor season
o Regional marketing collaborations
• Notification of opportunities for artists
• Arts Roundtables, monthly meetings to talk about issues relating to the arts
• Scheduling and community-wide event coordination
• Arts advocacy to assembly and legislature
• Mayor’s Awards for the Arts opportunities for volunteer and artist recognition
• Box Office ticketing services
JAHC Art Affiliate Membership provides specific benefits:
• Priority use of the Juneau Arts & Culture Center
• Discounted rental rates at the JACC
• Link on the JAHC web site
• Pair of season tickets to be used for auctions, fundraising, etc.
• Postering service benefits
We consider our Affiliated Arts Organizations somewhat like ‘members of the family’ and hope you will join the group with that sense: That we are here together to build a strong arts community in Juneau. We jointly need to see to the success of the Juneau Arts & Culture Center, and to the overall success and promotion of the arts in Juneau.
Juneau Arts & Culture Center: The community’s “family room” filled with activities, entertainment, games, books, conversation, and life, comfortably casual and warm.
The intention is to manage the Center so that rental fees are within the range of the arts organizations’ budgets. In order to do this, we will call on our Affiliates to help “raise the rent” and keep costs down.
• Help with fundraising activities, including Sunday Wearable Art and Silent Auction, Taste of Local Culture, Juneau Artists Market, or other events/ideas.
• Be self-monitoring when using the facility: Set up, produce, clean up on your own. Leave little work for the staff to do.
• Help as needed to promote, care for, and advocate for the JACC.
Please join your Council in making the Juneau Arts & Culture Center a wildly successful jam-packed community center.
