Thirteen artists are participating in a Juneau Teaching Artist Training Academy this fall, learning skills and strategies to be more effective in working with K – 12 students and schools. Artists are musicians, animators, illustrators, visual artists, photographers, dancers and opera singers and include three visiting El Sistema artists/teachers. The group will join 39 other Juneau artists who previously attended a similar series. This Academy is facilitated by Lorrie Heagy, Ryan Conarro, Lynn Williams and Annie Calkins.
